I am a Mostly stay-at-home Mom with a 3 year old daughter. I am a recovering perfectionist that is now trying to focus on doing my best Most of the time. I am a great Mom most of the time, I'm mostly fit, eat well most of the time, keep a mostly clean and organized house, you get the idea. How did I get here? Some days I can barely believe it myself.
I spent about 15 years of my life being absolutely perfect at my job...and nothing else. I excelled at work, but my (first) marriage fell apart. I traveled around the world for my job, but never took time to explore any of these places for myself. After giving so much of myself to my career for so long - I was completely blindsided when new management came in and I was out. In a moment everything in my life changed, and I decided to change with it - for the better.
After spending 15 years on the fast track, convinced I'd never have kids, I became a stay at home Mom - at age 38!!
My new husband, daughter, and I moved to Portland, bought a house, planted a garden, built a chicken coop, and I have completely traded a demanding corporate career in footwear for a simpler, slower, mostly perfect life.
